Be a Secret Santa to a Senior
Care facility staff tell us about residents who receive nothing during the holidays. Some seniors haven’t had visitors in months. A simple gift shows them they’re not forgotten.
For four years, we’ve helped seniors in care facilities in the South Puget Sound who might otherwise receive nothing at the holidays. This year, we’re inviting anyone in the community to help through simple online donations that fund gifts for seniors in need.

2025's Holiday Drive
Over the past few years, we’ve relied on volunteers at our church to be secret santas for the seniors and buy items from their wishlists.
In our fourth year, we’re taking a further step: inviting anyone who’s able to help to support Seniors’ Secret Santas through online donations.
TABLET INITIATIVE
Multiple seniors specifically requested tablets so they can stay connected to the world outside their room.
$50 provides one tablet — bringing a world of connection to an isolated senior.
Our goal is to fund 17 tablets in 2025.
How It Works
We partner with care facilities and the community
We work with local care facilities and community members to identify seniors who are low-income, isolated, or unlikely to receive any gifts.
You donate online
Instead of asking everyone to shop individually, we collect financial donations and purchase gifts directly from seniors’ wish lists and known needs.
We purchase and deliver the gifts
We wrap and deliver the presents in time for the holidays.
Who We Help
Our main focus is on seniors in care facilities in Pierce County, Washington, especially those seniors without nearby family or a strong support network.
But we’re also here for seniors living at home or in other settings who are in need and unlikely to receive a gift. If you know of a senior who could use some holiday kindness, we’d love to hear from you.
How Your Gift Helps Today and Tomorrow
In past years, gifts were chosen and purchased directly by volunteers at our church, based on lists from care facilities. That’s still happening, but as the list of seniors and their needs grows, we also need flexible funds.
Your donations help us:
- Fill in gaps when volunteers can’t cover everything on a senior’s wish list
- Respond when care facilities or community members tell us about a senior who would otherwise be missed
- Provide thoughtful, complete gift packages to as many seniors as we realistically can each year
As we move forward, we hope to:
- Partner with more care facilities and senior housing communities
- Offer an Amazon or online wishlist so supporters can purchase gifts directly
- Create options to sponsor specific seniors, small groups, or entire initiatives
For now, the simplest and most powerful way to help is a financial donation – so we can make sure the seniors we serve feel seen, remembered, and cared for.
